Adelfa

The Adelfa Botello Callejo Elementary School opened in 2012 as an environmentally sustainable K-5 elementary school in Dallas, Texas.  Built to hold 39 classrooms, including speech, science, art, music, computer and special needs rooms, the school was designed to bring in natural light and to save on water, electricity and heat consumption.  The elementary school currently serves 711 students, and is one of the 234 schools of the Dallas Independent School District, the second largest district in Texas, and the 16th largest district in the nation.

As an advocate for her community, Adelfa believed that the cultivation of future leaders starts with an effective education.
